foundation for pricing? The Actuary. Please join Bill Harrington, Cigna’s Senior Actuary, as he presents
and leads a discussion of actuarial considerations reflected in the development of premium rates for
employer-based insurance products. Bill will discuss the role of the actuary as it relates to pricing, manual
claims development including claims calibration and group level prediction as it relates to Medical,
Disability and Life insurance, and experience claims development as it relates to both Medical and Long
Term Disability insurance. Lastly, Bill will dive deeper into credibility & blending, and expense & profit. </P

Attendees will walk away with a strong foundation on what occurs behind the curtain, well before a case is
